“That which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you may have fellowship with us; and our fellowship is with the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ.”
I John 1:3
Priorities in our Music Ministry here at The Baptist Church of Beaufort are four-fold--glorifying God, edifying the body of Christ through corporate worship, drawing the non-believer closer to the Son, and growing spiritually while enjoying each other’s company through the efforts of our collaborate ministry together. It is our heart’s desire that each seeker and believer present in our worship will experience a “fresh encounter” with our Lord, Jesus Christ each time we gather.
Vocal, instrumental, and dramatic offerings are available for all age groups which encourage each participant to “give of his best to the Master”. Our primary goal is to make certain that the Word may sound clearly to everyone--both the Christian and the non-Christian, in all of our musical endeavors…through liturgical traditions and our rich heritage of hymnody in our Covenant Worship which is led by our Covenant Choir and Organ and also through the contemporary and the vernacular usage of all the creative and performing art forms in our Convergent Worship which is led by our Convergent Worship Band. In our music ministry, as well as other areas of ministry, we seek to be a community with a heart for worship, for loving one another, for serving our community, and for reaching our world.
The Baptist Church of Beaufort has a rich musical history and heritage that incorporates solo, ensemble, choral, and instrumental offerings. In addition to the GREATER CHOIR (which is the congregation), opportunities for music ministry are available for all ages—as young as 3 years old through the senior years of life.
