Vocal Opportunities

Music Time for Pre-Schoolers (ages 3-5) invites the young child to sing simple songs, play and move to the steady beat, and add sounds and instruments to Bible stories. (Wednesdays 6:00-6:40 p.m./first floor of Building B)

Music Makers (Grades 1-3) allows children to continue their growth of musical skills through singing of children’s anthems, playing of rhythm instruments, and instruction in interpretive movement. These youngsters participate in worship every other month, prepare an annual musical, and present an informal concert in December and May. (Wednesdays 6:00-6:40 p.m./second floor of Building B)

Young Musicians (Grades 4-6) allows children to continue their growth of musical skills through choral singing and instrumental experience with instrumentation and tone chimes, and instruction in interpretive movement. These youngsters participate in worship every other month, prepare an annual musical, and present an informal concert in December and May. (Wednesdays 6:00-6:40 p.m./second floor of Building B)

Exaltation Youth Choir (Grades 7-12) encourages youthful singers to develop their vocal craft through vocal technique, part-singing, quality literature, and discovering how the elements of worship are crafted through the aid of music. These young people participate in worship on a monthly basis either as a separate entity or in conjunction with our adult choir. These singers also participate annually in the Youth Choral Festival By the Sea in Myrtle Beach each spring. (Sundays 5:00-6:00 p.m./choir suite on second floor of Building A)

Covenant Choir (age 18 and upwards) is open to all singers who have a love for choral singing and a heart for worship. This choir leads weekly in Covenant Worship(9:00 a.m.) and prepares larger works for seasonal presentations and community events. These singers also participate annually in the Adult Choral Festival By the Sea in Charleston each January. (Wednesdays 7:15-8:30 p.m./choir suite on second floor of Building A)

Golden Voices Senior Adult Choir (ages 65 and upwards) is open to all singers who enjoy making a joyful noise! These singers participate in Covenant Worship (9:00 a.m.) on the second Sunday of every month. They rehearse monthly at 10:30 a.m. on the first Thursday of each month. (Fellowship Hall/Building C)

Convergent Worship Band (age 18 and upwards) is open to all singers who are confident soloists, can hold an individual part, and have a passion for contemporary worship. This vocal ensemble leads weekly in Convergent Worship (11:15 a.m.) and sings at community events. They also participate in our larger seasonal productions when needed. (Sundays 2:00-3:30 p.m./Sanctuary)
