Q. When I visit The Baptist Church of Beaufort, where should I enter the building?

A. Most folks enter through the front doors of the sanctuary (facing Charles Street). There are greeters at each of these doors to welcome you and answer any questions you might have. Worship begins at 9:00 a.m. and 11:15 a.m.

Q. Is the church building handicap accessible?

A. The Baptist Church of Beaufort campus is spread out over four separate buildings and two separate parking lots across four different cross streets. It presents challenges for everyone, but the sanctuary is accessible in two different locations to wheelchairs and the bottom floors of all the building can be fully accessed by wheelchairs. Both parking lots house handicap parking spaces with several available in the lot on King Street.

Q. What should I wear when I visit?

A. You will find some in more traditional 'Sunday Church' clothes and some in lowcountry casual. No one will be singled out based on attire. Dress comfortably and come as you are.

Q. What should I bring when I visit?

A. Please bring your family and friends! You may want to bring your own Bible if you have one.

Q. What is the style of worship at The Baptist Church of Beaufort?

A. We have two distinct styles of worship services on Sunday mornings. We have a traditional service at 9:00 a.m. that we call our Covenant service. This style of worship, rooted in tradition and history, features congregational hymn singing led by choir and organ along with choral anthems. Our 11:15 a.m. service, rooted in the ancient while expressing the modern features a full band and use of multimedia. Both services, in Baptist tradition, focus on the spoken word of God through preaching.

Q. Is there a nursery available?

A. Yes! We have child care volunteers who teach and care for our infants and preschoolers during our worship services as well as our 10:10 Bible Study time (Sunday School). All volunteers are trained and screened according to our Child Protection Policy in order to provide a safe and welcoming environment for children. Our nursery is located in Building B across Charles St. from the sanctuary. Pagers are provided to parents in case our volunteers need to reach you during worship or Bible study. Any child older than five years old is invited to join us for worship with the rest of the congregation.
